Now we are going to now just take a quick dip into what anonymisation is, because when personal is anonymised, it stops being personal data, and this should not be mixed up with pseudonymisation of personal data. With anonymisation it involves a process, a quite complex process using a combination of techniques, including de-identification of data and masking for example to actually reach the state of anonymised data. Now anonymised data is irreversible so it cannot be reversed back to personal data.
